COSMETOLOGY

Gem City College Cosmetology Training features a large clinic for customers, dispensary, classrooms, and the appropriate atmosphere for the learning and practice of Cosmetology. Students will learn skills in haircutting, nails, perming, color, salon management, and other areas.

Gem City College is located at 700 State Street, Quincy, IL 62301. Persons wishing to make comments should either write to the Executive Director of the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education, 7840 Roswell Road Bldg. 300, Suite 325, Atlanta, GA 30350, or submit their comments through the Council’s website. Persons making comments must provide their names and mailing addresses.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Constitution of the State of Illinois states: “a fundamental goal of the People of the State is the education of all persons to the limits of their capacities.” The College is a part of the system of post-secondary and higher education institutions established to fulfill this mandate. It is the mission of Gem City College to offer its students specialized training leading directly to careers in business, industry, government or self-employment.
